Project Manager and Technical Administrator

Kiruna Wagon is looking for a Technical Administrator with a good feeling for quality as well as tempo. The right candidate will become a part of our dedicated team and complement our designers in the continuous product development work, from idea to market.

Duties and responsibilities

Our flat organisation allows you to shape your own role as Technical Administrator. During the business cycle, your focus will vary from technical sales and marketing efforts to managing major development and manufacturing projects to customers.

Among your main responsibilities are KPI development and monitoring and key-ratio control. Another important task is to proactively handle our national and international licensing processes for railway vehicles. In a coordinating administrative role you will also work with sales support, financial monitoring of projects, project administration and documentation, quality development and marketing.

To succeed in this position, you need an efficient and straightforward approach and be able to base your work on informed decisions and good priorities.

The ideal candidate has an outgoing personality and is comfortable with representing our company to customers and suppliers, both at official marketing events and during more social forms.

Qualifications and competencies

This position requires an educational background in engineering or economics with industrial orientation or experience. It is a merit if you have experience in licensing processes for rail according to the ERA Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSI).

Within the entire organisation we focus strongly on identifying and creating value according to the principles of Lean Thinking. It is an advantage if you have experience in Lean as a working method.

As we work with an international client base, it is crucial that you are comfortable with English in speech and writing.

Tasks and competencies

We are committed to continuous product development, from idea to product in operation and subsequently to further development of the product. Your work responsibilities will largely depend on your skills and interests but an essential function will be to provide expertise in the field of Strength of Materials. This role requires a good sense of design and knowledge of how to handle forces in an optimal way.
