Together with our long-standing partner Amsted Rail, Kiruna Wagon has participated in MassMin 2024, the international conference and exhibition on mass mining. 

The event, which was held in Kiruna on September 17–19, brought together around 400 delegates from 20 countries, making it one of the most important mining conferences in the world. Hosted by LKAB in collaboration with Luleå University of Technology, the conference showcased the latest advancements in mining technology and provided invaluable networking opportunities for industry leaders.

Highlighting Innovation and Collaboration

At the exhibition, Kiruna Wagon alongside Amsted Rail presented our cutting-edge rail freight solutions. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about the Helix Dumper, Kiruna Wagon’s award-winning unloading system, which is capable of unloading up to 25,000 tonnes of fine-grained commodities per hour. This technology, supported by Amsted Rail’s Motion Control® bogies, demonstrated how the partnership between our two companies is pushing the boundaries of efficiency in the mining and processing industries.

A Helix Dumper wagon was on display outside the expo venue, attracting significant attention from both industry professionals and the general public, giving visitors a first-hand look at this advanced technology in action.

A Memorable Dinner Event

As part of the event in Kiruna, Kiruna Wagon and Amsted Rail hosted an exclusive dinner for our partners and industry guests. This gathering provided an excellent opportunity to celebrate our collaboration and discuss future projects. Over the years, our two companies have built a strong partnership, working together to develop advanced rail freight solutions tailored to the mining sector’s unique needs.
