We are approaching the end of another year filled with development, maintenance, and innovative technical solutions for railborne freight transport. As we at Kiruna Wagon sum up our 2025, we also take the opportunity to look ahead to new challenges and exciting collaborations. Kiruna Wagon has appointed Mattias Gustafsson as its new Managing Director, following seven years in the company as Deputy Managing director and in several other key management roles. He succeeds Fredrik Kangas, who after 20 years is stepping down from the Managing Director position but will remain active in Kiruna Wagon, focusing on the company’s continued internationalisation and the technical development of its product portfolio. Kiruna Wagon supports both elite and grassroots sports in Kiruna. Through its partnership with Kiruna Skidor, Kiruna Wagon is helping to attract and retain top-class skiers in the region, while simultaneously promoting Kiruna as a world-class winter sports destination. The founder of Kiruna Skidor, Christer Majbäck, is a Kiruna native who was one of the world's top skiers for a decade. Among his achievements are a World Championship gold in the relay and four individual medals. Together with our long-standing partner Amsted Rail, Kiruna Wagon has participated in MassMin 2024, the international conference and exhibition on mass mining.  The event, which was held in Kiruna on September 17–19, brought together around 400 delegates from 20 countries, making it one of the most important mining conferences in the world. MassMin is one of the world's most important mining conferences. This year, it will be held in Kiruna from September 17-19 and is organized by LKAB in collaboration with Luleå University of Technology. Conference and networking for the mining industry will be in focus in Kiruna this fall. Kiruna Wagon celebrates 20 years during 2024. It has been two decades of an uncompromising promise to our customers: to provide wagons of higher quality and sustainability, and with better transport efficiency than our competitors can offer.  Our journey could have ended many years ago. For example, if we had compromised on quality and only competed on low CAPEX. Or if we had delivered substandard maintenance, and at the same time moved our base and engineering expertise to another location with more convenient recruitment opportunities. We didn't.
